Is IELTS required for Canada dependent visa?

Conjugal partner: Proof of circumstances for which they are not able to live together like immigration barrier, marital status, and more which are beyond the control of both partners

Dependent biological child: a copy of birth certificate or documents entitling the name of the sponsor as father or mother

Dependent adopted child: a copy of adoption papers

• Proof of funds or financial status

A sponsor needs to be financially strong to support the daily expenses of bread-butter and living of his/her dependents after immigration to Canada. For that, required documents include

Copy of salary slips

Banking documents related to transactions within six months

• Proof of employment in Canada:

If a sponsor has a work permit or post-study work permit, then he/she needs to provide a copy of employment offer from a Canadian an employer in an occupation listed as NOC skilled type 0, A or B

For sponsored person:

• Police clearance certificate (PCC) to ensure no previous criminal record of an applicant
• Medical certificate approved by the Canadian government to ensure that an applicant is not suffering from any a communicable or hazardous disease which can affect the health of the Canadian population

Requirements of IELTS for Spouse/common-law partner:
